Keeping Up With the Kardashians Season 15 Episode 1, Photo Shoot Dispute

As a long time fan of the Kardashians, even I can’t believe that Keeping Up With the Kardashians is onto its 15th season. Take into account all of the spin-offs and it’s even more insane. But, if the KUWTK season 15 premiere is anything to go by, this one is going to be a bit different.

Everyone’s favourite family is back [E!]

Watching KUWTK is so interesting, because it provides a behind-the-scenes, almost raw look at the hundreds of headlines about Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kris, Kendall and Kylie we see each year. This episode in particular reveals the drama of the most recent (and perhaps most infamous) Christmas card photo shoot.

Think back to December, there was no confirmation that Kylie was pregnant – though everyone was certain. People thought it would be confirmed in the photo shoot but, instead, Kylie just wasn’t included. And after watching this episode, I don’t blame her for giving it a miss.

Kim took charge of organising everything for the shoot, though when you’ve got endless amounts of money I can’t imagine it’s that difficult. Kourtney was putting up a bit of a fight to make it a certain time so that she could spend the evening with her kids. Kim fought back and things got very, very heated.

I never thought I’d say it, but I felt sorry for Kourtney in this episode.

The way Kim spoke to her – and continued to speak to her when she was hysterically crying – was disgusting. I don’t have siblings, but I can’t imagine ever treating them the way Kim did Kourtney. It now makes the Christmas card so much more intriguing, because we know that Kim and Kourtney were majorly feuding at the time – and that Kendall was photoshopped in later.

The episode also featured Kim’s baby shower, which was adorable. Viewers finally got a glimpse of pregnant Kylie, as she was largely absent from season 14, apart from a few shoulder-up shots.

The fight spilled over into the party, and it seems like it’ll be a major talking point for this season. Making it so personal is what, to me, reality television is all about. Yes, I love to see the Kardashians’ ridiculous and extravagant lives – but I like to see the real people behind the Snapchat filters even more.

If season 15 continues down the path it seems to be heading, it’ll definitely be one of the more memorable.
